Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to support both the dental team and our patients, helping to create a welcoming and efficient environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software, including Dentrix and Epic.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area in accordance with safety protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively, including handling inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Support orthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and CAD technologies relevant to dental practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, we welcome candidates with relevant training or certifications.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Experience or interest in orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.

Pay: $20.04-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
