We are currently seeking an energetic, compassionate, and resident-focused Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to join our dynamic care team here at Northview Nursing Home. The successful candidate will be committed to providing the highest standard of care for residents and to creating a positive and supportive workplace.

Available postings include:  Part Time

Brief Summary of Job Duties:

• Fills cart with supplies and transports cart to assigned area.
• Dusts, polishes, sanitizes, and removes marks from walls and furnishings in the room.
• Vacuums carpets and perform floor care duties; sweeps and mops floor.
• Cleans resident room bathrooms as required.
• Cleans public areas including restrooms as required.
• Launders / folds / delivers facility linens and resident personal laundry
• Loads and unloads washers and dryers, operates machines.
• Cleans lint traps from dryers daily; checks and cleans drains as necessary.
• Maintains clean laundry area including washers and dryers.
• Empties trash throughout facility.
• Reports any maintenance issues found in the room
• Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisor/Manager.

Qualification and Experience:

• Successful completion of secondary school, or equivalent, is required
• Previous experience with housekeeping or laundry is preferred
• Able to work under specified time constraints, and in accordance with job routines, while observing applicable policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with staff, residents, community professionals and various outside partners·
• Must possess English language verbal communications skills and literacy skills sufficient to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must be available to work nights, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
