Georgia-Pacific is seeking a safety-oriented individual to join our team as an Instrumentation Technician Apprentice in Englehart, ON.
The Instrumentation Technician Apprentice position starts at $39.44 per hour. Georgia Pacific offers a generous benefits package including a quarterly bonus plan, medical/dental/vision, short-term disability, pension, and paid time off.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Assume responsibility and accountability for performing technical work in the repair, adjustment, calibration and maintenance of a variety of analytical and recording instruments and equipment used in the detection and measurement of the OSB process.
- Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- Interpret/ readPID loops circuit diagrams
- Perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with other team members in a team-based environment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- You must have (1) one of the following:
- 2000 hours attributed to an Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship
- Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technician Diploma
- Electrical Engineering Technology Graduate
- Industrial Electrician 442A Certification
What Will Put You Ahead
- 447A Instrumentation Red Seal Certification OR OACETT CTech Certification
- PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience; Allen Bradley. Control Logic
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating instrumentation equipment
