Receptionist / Accounting Assistant - Mar's Accounting & Bookkeeping, New Liskeard, ON

Job Type: Seasonal full-time with option of permanent
Shift and Schedule: 7.5 hour shift, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, as well as answer telephone inquiries
- Maintain profile and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
- Count and balance cash register and daily sales transactions
- Entering and updating financial records and documents into relevant databases
- Assess inventory of supplies and make orders to replenish anything necessary
- Prepare financial statements and tax folders for clients
- Examine and bring to date accounts receivable
- Data entry such as bank reconciliations as well as sales deposits and expense payments
- Record payroll (paychecks and remittances), file periodic HST, as well as report additional government remittances
- Other administrative duties and office maintenance tasks as required (paper shredding, etc.)
Skills Requirements and Assets:
- Experience with Bookkeeping software (AccountEdge, Quickbooks)
- Experience with Taxation software (Profile)
- Experience with Data entry software (Excel, Word)
- Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiently bilingual in English and French with both verbal and written communication
- Telephone etiquette
- Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
- Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
