About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Mechanic Shop Labourer mechanically inclined individual to support daily operations in a busy mechanic shop. The successful candidate will assist mechanics, maintain a clean and organized work environment, handle tools and parts, and help ensure shop tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist mechanics with general shop duties and basic maintenance tasks.
• Clean and organize the shop, work areas, tools, equipment, and parts.
• Tire changes
• Oil changes/safeties
• Move vehicles, equipment, materials, and parts as required.
• Wash vehicles, equipment, and shop floors when needed.
• Pick up and deliver parts or supplies, if required.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Perform other labour duties as assigned by the supervisor or mechanics.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a mechanic shop, construction, farming, or general labour environment is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and shop safety practices is preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
Working Conditions
• Work takes place in a mechanic shop environment.
• May involve standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and working around vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Schedule
•
Wage Range – 40,000-50,000 and schedule will be discussed with selected candidates. Please include your availability when applying.
