Position Overview:
As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department, including the effective scheduling of technicians and service appointments, ensuring timely service delivery, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will have oversight of the Parts Department. You’ll be instrumental in helping Tri-Town Toyota deliver quality work, exceptional service, and efficient parts management every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring effective scheduling of technicians and service appointments.
- Provide oversight the Parts Department.
- Meet or exceed budgeted objectives in areas such as sales, units, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist technicians in their daily work routines, offering guidance and support to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Ensure the service department and parts areas operate in a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment with first-class facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality work on time, every time.
- Foster long-term customer relationships, helping to drive continued growth in sales and service business.
- Train, develop, and motivate service department and parts associates.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented atmosphere within the service and parts departments and collaborate with other dealership departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Service Manager, preferably in the automotive field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Solid experience in managing parts inventory, ordering, and ensuring timely parts delivery to support service operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Solid understanding of service and parts department operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and workflow management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality service.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Bilingual (English/French is a plus.
